Although he could not confirm or deny, club chairperson, Oscar Sefako said the development is not entirely surprising.
Sefako was in Gaborone yesterday when Mmegi Sport contacted him for comment. He said players had approached the management over unpaid wages. “I believe they managed to meet the management yesterday. I am in Gaborone as we speak, but leaving for Serowe,” he told Mmegi Sport yesterday.
He said they hope their last game against Rollers at Palapye Ground tomorrow would be able to generate some considerable amount so that they can pay the players.
Miscellaneous are in desperate need of points if they are to survive relegation, while Rollers need the points to clinch the beMOBILE Premier League title. “We cannot deny the fact that we have a financial challenge, but we are trying all we can to stay afloat. We take every game at a time and this is one of those games. Some times we fail in our ambitions because of some challenges like money,” he said. Meanwhile Rollers are said to have played a practice match against Mahalapye Hotspurs yesterday in Mahalapye. The two sides drew 0-0.
