Power cut interrupts free concert

The rally meant to launch Botsalo Ntuane and his councillors was scheduled to start at midday, but was delayed by power shortage.
By the time the problem was resolved it was too late for all the groups billed to perform to appear on stage.
Slizer and Alfredo Mosimanegape were among those who were billed to perform. However, only a few got a chance to entertain the big crowd.
Makau took to the stage and warmed up the stage.
Then Shumba Ratshega in the midst of chants, “home boy” performed only two songs because of time constraints, but managed to add the much-needed spark. Before he shot to his latest hit Loso La Mmonamogolo, the Makhirikhiri singer had the crowd in stitches when he said, Banyana ekae, ao le akantseng ke raya Domkraga”.
Without any doubt most people had waited the whole afternoon for disco outfit Splash and when Dan Tshada, clad in a red two-piece overall, finally took to the stage the real party started.
The ace producer proved a good talisman for Ntuane in the last general elections.
Despite performing so late, Tshanda once more confirmed not only why he was still Ntuane’s favourite musician, also that he still has great appeal to disco fans.
His 1994 hit track Banamanga, the one that easily caresses the crowds at every Splash performance, had mapantsula in circles and seems to take the singer into another world.
Things took an unexpected turn when Afredo, Slizer and their dancers, appeared on stage to dance with Splash for the encore, much to the delight of the crowd.
