Showtime spoted quite a number of famous designers including the likes of Aobakwe Molosiwa who had many mesmerized with his latest designs. Molosiwa once again did not disappoint in making a statement with his attire.
Also spotted were potential models and upcoming young designers who came to learn the how’s of the industry from their role models who have already made their mark.
Boikanyo Mmatli told Showtime that he will soon be launching his winter collection and because he is new in the game, he saw this event as an opportunity to come and learn the ropes from the expects.
“I have been networking with a lot of popular faces, who knows I might end up collaborating with big designers. There are also some models here I think I will use but what really makes me happy is that I have also found potential sponsors for my show here,” he said.
The organiser of the event, Mpho Diale explained that they decided to come up with this event to give fashion designers a chance to mingle and network with potential sponsors.
“We have realised that most of the time designers have no clue where to go when they are in need of financial support so this event will enable them to know the right people to consult when in need of sponsorship,” he said.
He then added that fashion designers have also had a chance to mingle with other stakeholders like celebrities, musicians, media and potential customers who may be interested in their designs which is good for business.
“This event has also been a great platform for young, upcoming fashion designers, photographers, fashion bloggers, branding and marketing consultants as they converge under one roof”.
Diale emphasised that he also made sure he invited experienced fashion designers like the likes of Aobakwe because he is both admired and respected here as a designer.
He concluded that Sky Lounge was the perfect place to host this sort of event as the place is known for its relaxation mood and it is one of the most spectacular place to be.
