Ratshega has told Showbiz that the yester-year star, famous for hits such as Umqombothi and Thank you Mr DJ, will form part of the line-up, which will include other popular musicians from around the African continent.
“I am honored that Yvonne has agreed to perform at my launch because she commands a lot of respect across the continent. A lot of us grew up listening to her music and I believe other people have always wanted to see her live,” Ratshega told Showbiz.
The two musicians have shared the stage in Brazzaville, Congo before where the South African was impressed with Ratshega’s performance. Most recently the two featured in a cultural event in Sandton South Africa.
Ratshega noted that other musicians from across Africa have also agreed to honour his invitation to perform at the proposed show.
“I have musicians from Malawi, Zimbabwe, Democratic Republic of Congo and Tanzania coming for this show as well. These are musicians I met through my engagements in those countries hence they have requested me to only cover travel and accommodation expenses,” he said. The muscular cultural musician famous for his Makhirikhiri hit said he will give his fans a glimpse of his old self during the show by showing up in his old tshega.
“My fans have been complaining over the years that I should return the tshega and show them my bare buttocks and I felt since I am now a married man that my not sit well with my wife but she has given me the green light,” he said. He said he would finally answer his followers to return the tshega to the stage.
The venue for the show is yet to be confirmed.
