The lineup for the music show includes Kast, Noello, Amanandos and the MMP family to mention just a few. The lineup will also feature a number of young and upcoming musicians. Vans Party will also feature dance groups such as Black Diamond Twerk Stars.
Vans Party is the brainchild of young promoter, Pitso Maloisane and his associates. Maloisane told Showbiz that this event was planned when they realised that local artists are not given the platform to perform often and showcase their talent because most promoters prefer to call in international acts.
He further mentioned that this event is a way of paying back artists who work hard making music, and some do not get a chance to perform their music to a live audience.
He also said by organising this show they want to show revellers that local artists can also stage classic performances just like international ones.
Maloisane pleaded with fellow promoters to cooperate with local musicians in terms of promoting them.
“We should learn from South African artists who promote their own local artists without even calling in international acts,” he said.
He also advised local artists to make quality music that will satisfy promoters.
The young promoter said Vans Party will be an annual event and its primary mission will always be to promote homegrown talent.
