The youngsters told Showbiz recently that they felt ready to spread their wings and test the market in neighbouring countries after their latest single Attention proved to be another hit with local fans.
Group member, Thabang ‘Flazer’ Teseletso, said that negotiations are at an advanced stage for venues in Rustenburg and Mafikeng, where they plan to launch their new album, Another Hot Recipe.
The album is due for release at the end of September.
“The last single from the album has given us good indications of how the album would perform and we feel this is the right time to release it. It is important for us to vigorously market it once it is out. We shall start with a national tour and then cross over to South Africa after which we will return to Gaborone for the grand finale,” he said.
Apart from South Africa, Teseletso told Showbiz that they were also negotiating for another show in Namibia.
Amanandos, made up of brothers Thato ‘Chefgustos’ and Emmanuel Modukanele as well as Teseletso, first rose to prominence during the 2007 edition of My African Dream talent search.
They captivated the audience and judges with their hot flavour dance style and ultimately won the competition.
In the new album, Amanandos featured another fast growing kwaito outfit MMP Family, sensational Hip-hop outfit Real Magosi, Afro Soul crooner Lizibo, Reacxion as well as Noello.
“For the grand finale we want admission to be free. We are busy trying to source sponsors for the event to cover the costs. The only way to thank our fans who have shown massive support in such a short space of time is to let them in free at our biggest event,” Teseletso said.
