One of the finest guitar players in modern times, Klugh is the star performer billed for the annual FNB All That’s Jazz Concert at Gaborone International Convention Centre (GICC) on October 4, 2014. Klugh, who started music at the age of 13, has recorded several platinum selling albums, both in collaborations and as a solo musician. Between 1976 and 2013, Klugh has released 19 personal albums and many other duet albums.
He has been praised by many publications the world over for his brilliance on the guitar and is also credited for creating his ‘own sound’ by fusing jazz, pop and rhythm and blues sounds. One of Botswana’s finest jazz musicians, Lister Boleseng, is scheduled to curtain raise for Klugh.
The trumpeter, known for his sensual compositions such as Maikutlo A Lorato and creation of spontaneity between him and his audience, will be a good supporting act. Boleseng, who recently quit the Botswana Defence Force, is one of the few local musicians who displays real class and style in both recorded and live performances.
