“Yes it’s true that we had a little business quarrel over shares, but we eventually managed to resolve it after reaching an amicable agreement. I want to assure my fans that we are back together at Pop Bottles and they should expect a thrilling mega-show like the one we hosted last year,” he said.
The artist also said the show will be the best hip hop event ever hosted in the Ngwato capital. For his part, Double Jay said that he feared ATI had been receiving misleading advice from people who are not part of Pop Bottles.
“I suspect that ATI was poorly advised by people who want to see our concept fail, but I am happy that he has finally seen the light and is back with the Pop Bottles family,” he said.
He assured followers of the show that they would not see another nasty Facebook war as the one that ensued after the fallout.
Double Jay further pointed out that he and ATI are cousins and the only artists among the organisers. Others who form part of the organising team are Modiredi Keitshokile and Anthony Phokoletso.
He said that they realised that they had to work hard to make sure that they make this year’s show a success. Interestingly, ATI landed in trouble with the law after the inaugural Pop Bottle Serowe show. In other Pop Bottles Serowe news, the theme song for the show featuring the likes of Kheza Matofane, Klassic, Samba T, ATI and Double Jay has been released and it is expected it will be played on radio stations this week.
“Car stickers for the show are already available and some fans of the show have already bought them,” Double Jay said, adding that other Pop Bottles merchandise such as T-shirts, water bottles, car key-holder and flat caps are also available. The main sponsor for the show, which is to be held at Serowe Show Grounds on Christmas Day, is KBL.
