Liban in a new direction

It has surely been a success story.
Liban has certainly made the top of the list of places to be in Gaborone’s night scene.
Lewama Investments Entertainment and Communications Manager, Lesedi ‘Spinz’ Magowe told Showtime: “We are proud to be a successful home grown company with prestigious establishments such as Sky Lounge and Liban”.
He further said that they have made new developments and reviewed their policies to better cater for their clients.
Young professionals and mature crowds can now look forward to spending relaxed days and nights at Liban as the new policies have age restrictions.
Identification cards will be checked at the door for proof of age, only 23 years and above will be allowed in.
This decision came after management saw that they were losing clientele due to overcrowding, too much dancing by younger crowds, and breakage of glassware and destruction of furniture.
Tenants at the iTowers were also complaining about the noise, especially on weekends so as much as business was booming due to sales, business was also suffering and at risk of closure.
Weekends at Liban resembled nightclubs in the past year, so this is what Magowe wants to see change this year.
The music will now be played on lower volume. The outside area has been extended and revamped by covering it with glass to control the noise.
According to Magowe, this was made to address complaints by iTowers residents.
Wednesdays will never be the same as they are introducing live artist sessions, which will feature budding and known artists.
The sessions will be for laidback genres such as neo-soul, jazz, rhythm and blues and other soothing sounds for midweek.
There is a sister company on the pipeline, which will also cater to hospitality and entertainment needs soon. The establishment will be next to Liban.
There is an ongoing special at Liban for delicious chicken platters at P350 and a free bottle of wine (either KWV or Graham Beck brands).
The famous shisha are always there to make the Liban experience more thrilling and memorable. Magowe also revealed that there is space that can be turned into a VIP room, if a client needs it.
