The two seasoned players are accused of not showing enough commitment to the team. They have not played since January and the two are reportedly on their way out.
Mpezeni Sambandawe, the club spokesperson confirmed the suspension of the two players. However, he could not be drawn into discussing the reasons why the two experienced footballers were suspended.
Sambandawe said the two were expected to appear before the club’s disciplinary committee for a hearing. “It is not that the two players have been fired from the club. It is a mere suspension. That is all I can say at this stage,” said Sambandawe.
He said the players were still part of Satmos and were highly regarded. Tshelametsi and Stopper alongside Tumisang Sekanonyane joined Satmos mid last season.
“The former national team players have made wonders for the club,” said Mpezeni, adding that the club is really appreciative of what the players have done.
However, sources said the club is on the verge of giving the two players the boot for indiscipline. Mpoeleng is said to have skipped training without valid reasons while Tshelametsi reportedly did not want to get instructions from the goalkeeper coach.
Efforts to get a comment from the two players proved futile.
