Galaxy need just one point from the last two matches to finish top of the First Division South League and clinch qualification after beating relegated Gantsi Terrors last weekend.
The star-studded side has been doing well following the merger of two Jwaneng teams - Jwaneng Comets and Blue Diamonds. They registered several key players from the Premier League teams like Boitumelo Mafoko, Musa Ohilwe, Thebe Maiketso and Tebogo Sosome. This weekend, they visit struggling Black Peril of Tlokweng hoping to seal promotion.
However, the race to finish second and book a place in the play-offs has reached an interesting phase. Uniao Flamengo Santos, Mogoditshane Fighters, Modipane United and Black Forest all have a good chance of finishing second. Santos are second following two straight wins against Galaxy and Black Peril.
This Saturday, they take on Prisons XI at SSG Ground in search of a victory to stay ahead of rivals breathing on their necks. Santos have 35 points like Fighters, but have the edge on goal difference. Modipane United have 34 points while Black Forest have 33.
Interestingly, Santos and Fighters play each other in the last game of the season. This weekend, Fighters will be at home against unpredictable new comers, Lesirane in a Mogoditshane derby before they take on Santos in what is expected to be a thriller, next week.
Modipane United that have been doing well in the second round under the tutelage of Wire Kaelo, take on Sharps Electrical at Sharps Grounds. They registered important victories in the last two weekends against Prisons XI and Mogoditshane Fighters.
They will end the season against Ramotswa side, Killer Giants. This weekend, Black Forest take on Gantsi Terrors before they finish the season with a duel with Rolling Boys.
