The Dendera musician headlines the Ngoma 2015 Music Festival, which forms form part of the Zimbabwean independence celebrations in Botswana.
Known for his popular tracks such as Ndomusiya Nani, Reverse Deal, Non-Stop, and Syllabus; Sulumani has been big hit back home and he is expected to draw scores of Zimbabweans to the show.
The event will also feature the musicians’ Botswana based fellow countrymen Robin Chivazve who is popularly known as DJ Robbie Rob and DR Tawanda as well as RB2’s popular DJ Sly. This will be the first time the Zimbabwean musician has performed in Botswana and judging by his popularity back home a full house can be anticipated.
Sulumani is the son of late vocalist, guitarist and composer Simon Chimbetu.
Following his father’s death in 2005, Sulumani ventured into the music industry to carry forth his old man’s legacy. He has been doing this with admirable distinction, and has even managed to break records and gain global fame. Sulumani has staged big shows in the United Kingdom with other famous Zimbabwean musicians such as Alick Macheso. While many music lovers will be curious to see what Sulumani brings to the stage, others would be excited to see Dr. Tawanda in action. Dr. Tawanda who has spent a couple of years in Botswana, producing hit songs for various artistes, is steadily making a mark as a sought after performer.
Popular disc jockeys DJ Robbie Rob and DJ Sly will provide a dash of urban flavour to keep the audience on their feet at the show.
