Dj Bossa left in a huff last year after a misunderstanding with the other two.

The remaining duo, Ernest ‘Dj Matona’ Kebareng and Lekgotla ‘Thina’ Bothoko insist the band is destined for success despite the earlier setback. Kebareng told Showbiz, “It has actually motivated us to work even harder.

“When we started there was only me and Thina. Dj Bossa only joined us later. There are no hard feelings. The two of us had a dream right from the beginning and we shall make it a reality.” The group released their first single, Thando lwakho last year, which tossed them into the spotlight.

The track secured the youngsters many bookings including two in Johannesburg in April this year. “The reception was good and we are currently negotiating for another gig in South Africa. “Local radio presenters also continue to play the track regularly,” Kebareng said.

The duo has released a new single, which they believe will cement their place as a force to reckon with in the house music fraternity.

The new track called Uhlale Unami features South African musician, Caiiro.

Sung in Zulu, the love song is lyrically rich with a propping bass cushioning the marimba lead keyboard. “We raised expectations with Thando lwakho, and we knew when we worked on the new song that we had to push harder.

“I have no doubt that it will also show people that we are here to compete,” Kebareng added.
