Today the IDM University country director Faith Tombale is scheduled to officiate at the Day one session, the official welcome, where various IDM departments are also scheduled to make presentations to the new students as they are introduced to functions of departments such as Library, ICT, Finance, Registrar, Academic Services, Hotel, Sports, among others.
Day two will be dedicated to academic departments as the new students are introduced to their courses and prospective future careers by the various discipline coordinators.
According to the IDM Registrar William Sekgatsa, Day Three will see the local Student Representative Committee (SRC) promoting the integration of new students into the student community by introducing them to the various clubs. “ We want to make them feel welcome into our society Day Three will see the new students experiencing the student life with their senior students.’’
The highlights of their Day Three activities will probably be the announcement that for the first time IDM will be taking part in the inaugural IDM Games, competing with its sister campuses of Lesotho, and Swaziland, in September. The games will be held in Swaziland, while Botswana will host them next year.
