The club, which has cut ties with players like Jackie Mothatego and Tebogo Sembowa, among others, is expected to announce replacements at the CBD.
GU secretary general, City Senne said the players would be unveiled along with the new committee, which was elected at last month’s AGM.
Senne refused to reveal the players names. “For now I cannot say the names of the players we signed, but everything will be confirmed during the unveiling ceremony,” he said. Senne was quick to dismiss reports that long serving striker Ronald Chikomo was back at the club.
“We have released Chikomo and as of now he is not our player therefore he is free to join any club of his choice,” he said. Chikomo joined Orapa United yesterday.
After Sembowa left for Jwaneng Galaxy, GU replaced him with Namibian striker Nicky Nsignomali.
Former Extension Gunners right back, Tshepo Maikano, left back Katlego Koobake and Hendrick Moyo from Sankoyo Bushbucks are expected to be the new replacements.
Mandla Mgadla, who has been training with Gunners, has since returned to GU.
