The 19-year-old model participated in four categories, which were swimwear, jeans, runway and makeup competition. She won the makeup competition category. She contested with 40 international models, most of who were from the United States of American (USA).
“After my appearance at ITMA I have received close to 34 call ups from different agencies that have showed interest in signing me up to be their model,” said Grynberg, who is 1.76 metres tall.
She told Showbiz that she is in talks with a British agency. “Chances are I might move to London before the end of this year,” said Grynberg, who believes there are more opportunities for models in Europe. She stated that her participation at the ITMA gave her exposure, which has improved her chances of attracting international agencies.
“I also had a great experience during the tour, I was mentored on a number of things, which will help widen my experience as a model,” she said.
This was Grynberg’s second time participating in the New York-based event. In 2011 she won the jeans category.
The model has also made an impact locally. She was the assistant choreographer for Miss Botswana in 2013, and she took part in the Fashion Without Borders show and won at Gemstones in 2012.
Grynberg is engaged in mentoring young models through different initiatives such as her former agency Sands Models. She recently tried her luck in the recent Miss Botswana auditions.
