Aregopoleng Gospel Boyz to tour Stockholm

Stockholm Gospel, an events company, invited the group comprising of four young men that are Kepadile Mantswenyane, Thato Andina, Kagiso Magano and Tumisang Kagiso Marumoagae, to perform at the festival.
This is the second time Aregopoleng Gospel Boyz receives an invitation from Stockholm. They first received one last year, but due to a flight delay the trip was not successful.
Speaking to Showbiz, Magano said that this tour will provide a platform to showcase Botswana’s talent in the performing arts.
Magano said opportunities would also come by during the tour saying, “It will embrace the opportunities for learning from international artists. This will contribute immensely to the development of performing arts in Botswana as it is our plan that the knowledge acquired will be shared with local artists”. During the weeklong tour artists will have an opportunity to attend workshops and network sessions.
He said they are looking forward to creating a relationship with their international counterparts.
At the festival the group, which is currently working on its sophomore album, will perform songs such as Botlhoko ba Ditaba, Morena Iponahatse and Leya Kae from their debut album, Dikgosi Di Kgethilwe.
The ensemble specialises in different types of gospel music that is acappella and instrumental music. The group is well known for staging active performances full of dance and their ever-changing stage attire.
Aregopoleng Gospel Boyz has won awards and competitions such as the Botswana Musician Union best traditional gospel award 2013. They were also second finalists for the President’s Day celebration award the same year.
