Vee Mampeezy, born Odirile Sento has a few things to celebrate, which include his soon-to-be released album and his unborn child with wife, Kagiso Sento.

“I am hopeful it is a girl, I believe it will be a girl, we have not confirmed yet,” the visibly excited Vee told Showbiz.  Vee Mampeezy said he is looking into exploring Africa with his latest offering.

“Africa has always supported me.

This is my way of showing gratitude to them.  With this album I will be celebrating my 12 years in the music industry.  I have come so far and it is all with the support of God and Africa.”

“I still remember how my single, Taku Taku was a hit in Malawi, so what better way to pay Africa back by dedicating one of the album’s singles to the continent.  I have named the single, Africa for my loyal followers and supporters,” said Vee.

The eight-track album will also feature some of the pint-sized musician’s hit songs Taku Taku, Zaza, Baba, Eita and No Suffer.  He explained that the inclusion of his hit tracks is not necessarily a compilation of the Best of Vee.

“I just want to make it clear that it is not the Best of Vee compilation.   It is what we call in the music circles and terms a bonus track.  This will also include one of my unreleased songs called Spirit of the Lord,” said Vee, who added that his compilation of the Best of Vee would only be released next year.

The multi-award winner also said Supernatural Vol 3 will be different from his previous albums.

He said that he took into consideration Batswana’s plea and demands for his old style, hence the decision to ‘go back’ to his basics.

“With this album, I have gone back to my old style and it is not only that.  We have also revamped the old style to meet today’s trends.  The sound is different,” he said.

Vee left the country yesterday to shoot a video for Africa in South Africa. He said that the same company, which shot popular song, Shumaya by Trademark, Durban Nightz and Zinhle, will direct the video.

“Africa is a huge song.  I have never been as excited about a song as I am with this one.   With this song I am trying to create a movement, an African movement from an African perspective.  And I cannot wait for Batswana and Africa to hear it,” Vee said.
