The South African musician was the main attraction at the closing day of the Gaborone International Music Cultural (GIMC) week. He shared the stage with local and international acts such as Mpho Sebina, Sethunya Maele, Sheila Molelekwa, Jazzman and Kyle Shepherd.

While the supporting acts received a fair appreciation from the audience,  the moment Ringo stepped on to the stage, everything  changed. The crowd simply went ecstatic even before  the Xhosa man had belted one song.

Ringo was full of high spirits on stage as he performed his timeless classics such as Sondela, Ndiyagodola and Into yami.

The audience loved every moment as they sang along to every song dancing.

Accompanied by his live band, Ringo pulled ecstatic dance moves jumping up and down. The moment was worth watching. This time around everyone was up on their feet showing love and appreciation to his music.

During a mini-break of his performance, Ringo called musician and former Big Brother Africa  (BBA) contestant Sheila Molelekwa up on staging as he revealed that they recently found out they are related.

He then sang Sondela with Sheila who seemed not to be familiar with the lyrics till she sang the song in English.

After the exciting performance, Ringo bid farewell to the audience that was still enjoying his music.

Another artist who delivered a classic performance was Mpho Sebina who came as an underdog showing her great expertise in classic music. She outdid her self with a cover performance of Brenda Fassie’s Too late for Mama which was mixed with the Fugees’s Ready or not.

Before closing her set with her latest single Love Lights, Sebina performed a soul version of Trompies’s old school Kwaito track Sigiya ngengoma that was much appreciated by the young audience.

Overall all the artists staged their best performances and they gave the audience a run for their money.
