A musical theater graduate, Zimba has toiled hard to grow her career as a musician, television host on DStv’s Vuzu channel and choreographer, as well as a lead actress on Generations the Legacy.

The petite starlet however insists that juggling four professions at a go isn’t as difficult as some people would imagine.

“When I studied musical theatre, we were taught to be able to balance out; it comes with singing, presenting and acting, its all about managing who you are, your goals and support system,” she says.

Her goal has always been to be Hollywood star material and breaking through to different boundaries.

“When you know what you want, your mind gets focused, and if does not work out its not a set back, it’s a lesson learnt,” she says.

Zimba’s career blossomed when she was part of a music girl group, Fly Chix, which paved way for her to make a mark in the entertainment industry. Of late, the young woman has featured on different television programmes. The 27-year-old, who hails from Rustenburg, credited her management team for helping her land several gigs.

“The team allows you to direct your energy in the right platform, circumstances, personality, it allows you to align with your career and trends,” she says.

Zimba revealed that she has grown from the young girl, who was once a back up vocalist for the now defunct rap group Jozi. Her TV job at Vuzu affords her the opportunity to travel around the world.

She added that she takes all her four jobs seriously.

“Through these jobs, I have to pay my rent, life insurance, medical aid and foot other bills.

All I can say to those who look up to me in Botswana is that: It does not matter where you come from…Believe in yourself, do not listen to those who undermine you, and you will learn to develop yourself until you are successful,” she says.

During her recent visit to Botswana, Zimba was engaged as the host for the All White Party held at Fairgrounds.

She quickly related with the revelers at the showstopper gig though it was her first time in the country.

The free spirited lass interacted with everyone and even joined her fans on the dance floor.

As is common with celebrities, Zimba has had her own share of negative publicity. Earlier this year, it was reported that she was caught having sex with a Greek tycoon in the back seat of his vehicle in a car park.

Zimba says she managed to overcome the rumors and allegations by relying on a strong support system.

“If you insist that I did something scandalous then you would have to prove it and I will comment about on V Entertainment. If it’s not the truth I brush it off, laugh and if its truth I state that it’s true,” she says.

The former Generations actress added that she is in love with Botswana, mostly because of its familiarity to Rustenburg and its rich historical and cultural element.
