The eight track album was produced at Music Empire Records.
“Sa Pelo is a concept developed by the fact that I write straight from my heart, most of my songs are based on situations I encounter or what happens to people close to me,” Amantle said.
Explaining the sound of her eight-track album she stated that it is soulful music filled with emotions. “I wanted listeners to connect with my voice and show my vocal ability to music lovers,” she said. The album Sa Pelo consists of tracks such as Moratiwa, Mahitswana, Ke a Lema, Banana and Tribute. The songs are in different genres such as soul, jazz and RnB.
Amantle said she does not feature any other musician in her album but would feature other artists in her next album.
After being a favourite on the reality show My Star and releasing Moratiwa a song, which was much loved, music lovers eagerly waited for Amantle to release an album.
“I wanted a single that would introduce me to the people and Moratiwa was that song. It did it for me; it gave me my breakthrough,” she said.
Sa Pelo will be launched next month.
This year Amantle showed some growth in her career breaking a number of boundaries such as collaborating with Nigerian artist Naijaboy on a song titled Mukele. In the song, Amantle sings in a Nigerian language called Yoruba.
The young songstress was recently nominated for AFRIMAs. Amantle said plans are underway for her to go on a national tour promoting her new album, Sa Pelo, which is available in a number of Chinese shops around the country.
