Dangers of bioengineering ultimate assassins

The film is an epitome of true action as it is loaded with violence. This, of course, is the nature of assassins with complex missions. As we zoom in on this thriller, all hell breaks when an agent is genetically engineered to be the perfect killing machine. He is the culmination of decades of research, endowed with unprecedented strength, speed, stamina and intelligence. Known only as Agent 47 (Rupert Friend), his latest target is a corporation, which plans to unlock the secret of his past to create an army of killers even more powerful than him. With help from a young woman, the elite assassin confronts revelations about his origins in an epic battle with his deadliest foe. Rupert Friend fits in perfectly for this role with his intimidating looks and a bar coded head. Word reaching yours truly is that initially his role was meant for Paul Walker, but unfortunately he died in 2013.
Action
Hitman: Agent 47 kicks off with a narrative of how the agent program started when Geneticist Dr. Peter Litvenko (Ciarán Hinds) was the lead scientist of a secret bioengineering programme designed to manufacture “perfect” assassins with unprecedented strength, speed, agility, stamina, and intelligence. These assassins, known as “Agents” are unable to feel guilt, remorse, or fear of their actions. It becomes spicy as the lethal subject in discussion, Agent 47, enters the fray displaying all his unique attributes as he single handedly tracks down and eliminates a doctor on the brink of locating Litvenko to reboot this human weapon production.
This then sets the mystery tone for the movie as it kept us on the edge wondering if Agent 47 is going rogue against his creator. We also have a mysterious woman, Katia van Dees, caught in between the cross fire. The film is on point, because of the fresh riveting action sequences. For instances we have top assassins Agent 47 and John Smith almost ripping their heads off at a train station before dragging their bull fight to the U.S Embassy. As if that is not enough Agent 47 shows off his menacing skills when he shoots Katie from miles away in a moving car.
The scene is reminiscent to Angelina Jolie’s 2008 gun action thriller Wanted, which rocked with precision trigger skills. Hitman: Agent 47, revamped itself from the 20th century (2007) edition into a monstrous 21st century blockbuster franchise that is fun filled with adventure. Major shooting places include Berlin (Germany) and Singapore, which gives the film a cool urban setting cinematography. The film has crystal clear scenery, which showcases the beautiful artistic infrastructures of Singapore with buildings that resemble orchids and other innovative shapes. Special effects for this action thriller are so cool. We have Agent 47 up against a mammoth task of defeating compatriot rival John Smith. Hitman: Agent 47 has outdone itself but it is way shorter, leaves you longing for more.
Reception
After premiering at 4th spot on the box office chart three weeks ago, Hitman: Agent 47 has gone on to gunner $63 million world wide. This fails to match the movie hype as we expected it to blow its $35 million dollar budget to smithereens. It has slipped down to 14th place at the box office chart.

Hitman: Agent 47 is an awesome spy action thriller, if only it wasn’t short. For that I rate it 5/10.
