Most wanted smuggler hot pursuit

Former special forces mercenary, Frank Martin, lands another tough job, when things get complicated when femme fatale, Anna and her three accomplices orchestrate a bank heist and the kidnapping of Frank’s father. It’s all part of a grand plan to take down a sinister Russian kingpin who victimised her years earlier. Now a pawn in her vengeful scheme, the former special forces mercenary must use his covert skills to play Anna’s dangerous game. This fascinating storyline is a retcon that alters events of the previous three editions. As seen in Transporter: Refueled Frank lives with his father, unlike in Jason Statham’s Transporter chapters; this paves way for a whole new dimension of story telling.
Action
The Transporter: Refueled is a fantastic action experience driven by vengeance, greed, abuse, money and loyalties. Frank finds himself entangled in a crossfire of payback as Anna ropes him into her wars with the Russian mobs. Even though most people would prefer the robust bald headed Jason Statham, Ed Skrein plays the role extremely well.
For instance, there is this scene where Ed Skrein puts the car in low speed, then walks alongside the car beating the approaching guards. Ed Skrein is lethal with his bare hands.
The movie depicts a number of scenarios, for example, there is a lot of backstabbing and deceit. The girls play their cards well, framing the Russians for every crime they commit. Frank drives an Audi S8, which emits sound of sheer raw engine power during pursuits.
It seems Audi has hit the blockbuster movies jackpot as Hitman: Agent 47 also tore the streets of Singapore in a red Audi. However in The Transporter: Refueled, the S8 is Frank’s ultimate weapon as there are instances when he leaves the cops smelling the smoke of his tyres burning as he drives his fugitives to safety.
The Transporter: Refueled has a funny element because of Frank Martin senior, who continuously makes rude remarks. The cinematography is good, but my only issue with the blockbuster is its lack of special effects. Camille Delamarre, however, stated that he avoided the use of computer-generated imagery.
Reception
Just like Hitman: Agent 47, Transporter: Refueled reached number four on box office before slipping down to eighth place this week. This thriller is enduring the worst reception for a blockbuster franchise as it grossed a low $7million, upon its premiere. As of now it has brought back an equivalent to its $22 million dollar production budget with slightly a million more. It looks unlikely to surpass the standards of Jason Statham’s action pieces of The Transporter 1-3 that generated loads of cash earning $43, $85 and $108 million respectively.
New movies leading at box office this week are:
1.The Perfect Guy
2.The Visit
3.War Room
4.A Walk in the Woods
5.Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation
Movie Forecast
Romantic drama, The Perfect Guy is wrecking havoc like Fifty Shades did in February. This African-American thriller is one not to miss. The film starts showing this Friday at our local box office.
Ratings
Ed Skrein did more than enough as our new sharp-dressed driver. It’s only that the antagonist/villain was not that traumatising like in the other three sequels therefore an 8.5 is appropriate.
