BMTS reaches out for upcoming musicians

“It has been quite tough for upcoming artists to get such platforms, some have even lost hope yet they are talented, we as BMTS have decided to be the leverage to lift them up,” he said.
Taylor said the NGO would also play a role in recording and mastering tracks for artists. “We are not doing this for money or anything its out of love and respect for talent,” he said
Taylor believes that the local media and established artists have pushed away upcoming artists and they are not granting them the opportunity to shine.
“We want to challenge established artists such as Vee and ATI with talented upcoming artists that are much better,” stated Taylor who says BMTS has close to 277 upcoming artists such as Blackwall and Nicole Martinez. Taylor and his organisation once spearheaded a strike against Btv music show Flava Dome because it did not give budding musicians a platform. However the strike was not successful.
Prior working on various initiatives with upcoming artists, BMTS had been looking for ways of raising funds for them. “We want to raise money in the same style that was used to raise funds for Abby’s operation”. Once these artists are established, BMTS would help them penetrate international market.
“We want them to have performance slots at international concerts unlike some who only get invited at Botswana embassies to perform,” he added.
He spoke about a number of projects that included installing television sets in buses so they would play music videos of budding musicians.
