Mzakhula works with DJ Kuchi

The artist has released a couple of songs and he has also featured as Stagga’s back-up vocalist.
He decided to collaborate with DJ Kuchi who produced his upcoming single.
“Kuchi is one of the most respected and best producers we have in the country.
His productions never disappoint,” the young musician said.
He believes that Kuchi’s input will make it a success since he has produced numerous hits of his own such as Far Away, Hey You and also produced for international artists such as RJ Benjamin.
“We met sometime last year at a gig where we were performing and I shared the idea with him and he liked it,” Mzakhula said.
The track is a House love song. It has a mixture of Tswana and Zulu vocals. Wena Fela is from Mzakula’s upcoming album due next year.
Even though he is not that well known, Mzakhula’s song, Summer Time has been receiving a lot of airplay from local and South African radio stations.
He boasts of having shared the stage with the late Brown Dash, Alaska, Trompies, and his mentor, Stagga who he said “working with him (Stagga) opened a lot of doors for…” him.
Describing his musical style, he said he composes music similar to Durban Kwaito, popularised by Big Nuz and L’vovo Derago .
“I had to play around with Kwaito and House music because trends have changed.
That hardcore Kwaito is not relevant anymore that’s why I had to mix it with House music,” he said.
He mentioned that his management is in talks with South African artist DJ Tira for collaboration.
He said the album would have collaborations with the likes of MMP Family, T. H. A. B. O and ATI.
