Cool Time Hawkers

Gaborone City Council has since issued the following warning against hawkers who trade on the city roads:
PROHIBITION OF HAWKING ON PUBLIC ROADS IN GABORONE
It has come to our attention that there are some hawkers who are carrying their businesses on public roads and as such obstructing traffic.
We herein state that it is an offence as per the provisions of Regulation 11(1) (e)as read with Regulation 16(1) of Gaborone City Council Hawking and Street Vending Regulations, which stipulates that if any person who directly or indirectly obstructs traffic in any public place or obstructs the use of public place, or causes nuisance or danger to the person in the vicinity by means of himself is guilty of an offence liable to a fine not exceeding P100.00 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding two months or to both, and for a second subsequent conviction ,to a fine not exceeding P200.00 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding six months ,or to both.
You are therefore requested to stop your business on the roads as it is only not safety hazard but obstruct free follow of traffic.
