Lobelo ends motor season on a high

 

Lobelo vice president, Lola Berrie said the race attracted 30 entries from different parts of the country and neighbouring countries.

The race, held at the Dumela track, had two novice classes, one for the senior riders and another for the junior riders with the new formation exciting riders.

She indicated that the race was divided into six categories; Pee Wee 50 class, MX50 class, MX85 class, MX125 class, MX2 class and MX1 class. She said junior riders participated on the oval circuit where it was flat and easy to learn even though the weather made it difficult for them.

Deegan Davis scooped position one in the Pee Wee 50 class followed by Tristan Berrie and Ryan McAllister, respectively.

“The MX 50 class champion was Nathan Berries leaving Amman Parekh to take the second and Cody David at position three,” she said. Brandon Rouse was the MX85 class winner and defeated Ayush Hegde who scooped second position and James Kleynhans who was third. Douglaus Morris beat Joshua Potts in the MX125 class whiles Dartagnan Lobjoit conquered the MX 2 class race leaving Clayton in second position and James Morris in third.

Ross Branch, the favourite, conquered in the MX1 class race followed by Robert Pollock and Wayne Berrie.

“The spectators did not attend in large numbers like in the past motorcross final race because of the poor weather conditions, but hopefully the crowd at the event enjoyed the entertainment,” said Berrie.

She said the event was a success due to support from Becor Bricks, Security Services, Skip Hire, Motor Holdings Francistown, Mr Move, Minetech only to name a few.
