Berry Heart, born Kootshepile Motseonageng, is set to host the launch at the upmarket club, Cigar Lounge, which celebrated its first year anniversary on Saturday. Berry Heart, known and often criticized for embracing nudity and for controversial statements on social media, will also release her latest single titled Hottest Girl In Town. She released her debut single featuring yet another controversial figure ATI titled Berry Heart for Dinner or Nothing recently.
Entertainment on the night will come from Botswana Musicians Union (BOMU) award winner AmantleBW, veteran jazz artist Kearoma Rantao, Spiza Valentino and newbie Amo Maruping.
Berry Heart follows the footsteps of South Africa’s Bonang Matheba with her Destruction line.
She said: “From a young age I have always loved underwear. I used to even flaunt it at school during my days for everyone to see my new underwear, growing up I started researching about lingerie and it was only inevitable that I launch my own, I started talking to the manufacturers towards the end of the year hence my line For Dinner.”
Berry Heart said the lingerie will be sold at all Urban Soul stores formally known as Mafia Soul from December 20, 2015. The line will be available in red, black and white only.
The ever-confident Berry Heart said: “I will be launching the line all around the country come next year. I believe lingerie has the potential to save relationships and marriages. It makes the bond grow stronger in all fairness. The culture should be part of us. It going to be very exciting really.”
