Township Rollers

Popa’s spokesperson, Phempherethe Pheto says the log leaders have not been active on the market and will only know once the team returns from South Africa where it has been training.

 

Orapa United

Second-placed Ostriches are preaching continuity and Orapa’s assistant coach, Zacharia Mudzazi confirmed they will not be active in the January window.

“We just started training and we are all back in one piece. Our boys have performed well and we don’t want to disturb our progress. We just need to continue where we left off, why fix it if it’s not broken?” he asked.

 

Mochudi Centre Chiefs

Defending champions Magosi confirmed all players are back in training and no formal requests have been made for any player. Coach Mike Sithole said they need three defenders and one striker.

 

Miscellaneous

Tse Nala have not been shy to show their hand in the window as they prepare to cement position in the top eight. Eight players, who are deemed surplus to requirement, will be shown the door and three seasoned players are on the radar.

Coach Russia Chaba said the eight players are yet to be served with letters of release.

On the radar: Moagi Sechele and Refilwe Senyame (Sankoyo) and Botshelo Lorato (Motlakase).

 

Gaborone United

The Money Machine are holding their cards close to their chest. However, reports are Moathodi Ralesotla is close to completing his move to the Gaborone giants and Sankoyo’s Jackson Lesole is also on the way to the Money Machine.

 

Nico United

Eighth-placed Majombolo are keen to bolster all three departments. Nico’s spokesperson, Ace Orapeleng said they are looking for a defender, midfielder and striker. Majombolo are reportedly after Sankoyo’s Kutlwelo Mpolokang.  The club denied speculation that some players want out although the team has already lost forward, Spencer Ngalande.

 

Jwaneng Galaxy

Galaxy mentor, Philane Mabhena confirmed that the team is looking for a marksman and a left sided player. He said the whole team is back in training and there are no signs of any player leaving. “This is football anything can happen, but at the moment our camp is intact. But there are younger boys we want to loan out so they get game time,” Mabhena said.

 

Extension Gunners

The under-performing Peleng giants have been linked with a number of players. However, coach Chico Nare refused to be drawn into speculation. “We have not received letters from any team, and we have not written to any team,” he said.

Nare confirmed that only Mandla Mgadla and one Namibian international are training with the team while Ace Seane and Deco Kgaodi have requested to be released.

 

Sankoyo Bush Bucks

Cash-strapped Sankoyo is expected to be busy during the transfer window. Six players are already on other teams’ radar and the Maun side has also identified six players to bring in. Potential transfer outs: Jackson Lesole (GU), Thero Setsile and Morris Rusivho (Galaxy), Kutlwelo Mpolokang (Nico), Refilwe Senyame and Moagi Sechele (Miscellaneous)

On the Radar: Emmanuel Nlu and Lesego Matoteng (Orapa), Thato Ganetsang (Satmos) and two players from lower leagues.

 

Green Lovers

Lovers feel hard done by the rebellion of their marksman, Moatlhodi Ralesotla, who has dumped his boyhood club for greener pastures. The club coach, Othusitse Kootswele confirmed only the striker will be leaving. He said they are looking to bolster the goalkeeping department, but did not rule out beefing up the squad as the window progresses.

 

BR Highlanders

Stimela are looking to bring seasoned players to rescue their season and also add youngsters in preparation for the future. Highlanders spokesperson, Jacob Monyeki revealed that they are about to complete talks with Emmanuel Thakadu and also want Orapa’s Lesego Matoteng and Mochudi Buffaloes’ George Mponiki.

 

Motlakase Power Dynamos

Deep in relegation conundrum, Chouka are not gaining any ground as scores of players, particularly those who were on loan are set to leave the club. Interim coach, Pule Mogotsi confirmed they will beef up the squad with five more players.

 

Players wanting out: Daniel Kedidimetse, Gape Mohutshiwa, Thato Kebue, Goitseone Legopelo and Lesedi Botshelo.

 

Satmos

Languishing at the bottom, the Cheaters feel all is not lost. Satmos assistant coach, Kgosietsile Jacob said they are on course to bring two foreigners, a midfielder and a striker from Zimbabwe and another local striker. He said they have other five seasoned players who they failed to register on time last season, but have been with the team although they couldn’t play.

“We have about seven seasoned squad members coming back and with the three new editions we can bounce back. It is just a matter of three wins,” he said.

 

BDF X1, Police X1

Not much is expected from the sides from armed forces who have had a decent run in the first half although BDF XI winger, Kabelo Seakanyeng is linked with a move to Gaborone United.
