According to the bank’s managing director, Jitto Kurian, the application will ensure convenience and allow customers to perform transactions while ‘on the go’.

“Our customers want technological solutions that make their lives easier and BancABC is that solution,” he said.

The deputy managing director and acting country’s head of retail and SME banking, Andrew Taruwona said the mobile app was identified as an opportunity to provide an additional transaction and service channel for customers in order to enhance the customer value proposition.

“The provision of mobile banking services will provide our customers with the ability to access banking services at their own convenience, which is 24 hours a day, seven days a week and 365 days a year,” he said.

BancABC mobi can be used by any BancABC customer to interact on their account at any time they choose.

A simple three-step process of downloading from an App store and registering for the app allows customers to perform various transactions.

The app also offers the ability to make DStv payments, loan application enquiries, purchase of prepaid airtime and balance enquiries amongst other functionalities.

Users can also conduct their accounts, transfer to other banks as well as make bill payments.
