There was a chaotic end to the game after one member of the interim committee, Mookodi Seisa had to be escorted by the police out of the stadium as fans bayed for his blood.

Seisa and a faction of disgruntled members had called a press conference last Thursday where they announcing they will take Township Holdings director, Jagdish Shah to court as the internal strife intensifies.

The match itself saw Rollers begin brightly, but failed to take advantage of numerous chances that came their way. The visitors took the lead against the run of play when Tilly Setlhako headed home a free kick in the 26th minute.

In the 38th minute, Joel Mogorosi rose highest to head home a corner kick to level  matters.  Three minutes later, Edwin Moalosi squandered an opportunity to give his team the lead as his header went over.  The visitors intercepted an attempted pass from Maano Ditshupo and broke away with an explosive counterattack playing one-two touches.

The final ball was rolled to Moamogedi Thatogo who tapped in at the near post to wrap Highlanders’ win in the 79th minute and condemn Rollers to their first defeat in 19 league matches.  Rollers put numbers forward in search for an equaliser, but their efforts were in vain.

Highlanders coach, Lebitso Ratlou described the win as a morale booster for the relegation-battling side.

“Beating Rollers away will give us the confidence to move forward.  The plan was to close their midfield.  We had to stop them from playing and it worked. As of now, there is no other objective than to avoid relegation,” he said.

Rollers’ coach, Mark Harrison felt his boys did not turn up and should take full responsibility for the loss.

“We did not turn up and the players should take responsibility because we can work it out during the week, but its up to them to stand up and be counted on match day,” he said.
