All My Troubles Are Because Of Women

Garogwe’s social media stunt went spiral Saturday afternoon with a scare that he had committed suicide. He, however, refuted the rumours that he tried to commit suicide saying the post was about personal problems he is currently facing in his relationship.

“My mother did not raise a man who is suicidal. I have a great future ahead of me. I still believe there is a lot I can do for this country,” he said.

The Kea Gana star said all his troubles emanate from his past relationships.  He said all the women he has been with often do not want to accept that the relationship is over, hence they come up with stories that tarnish his name, mainly because he is popular.

He related one incident where he spent a week at the first offenders prison last October for fraud.

“I spent sometime in jail last year, almost a week. I did not go there because I defrauded someone, I went there as a debtor. The person I was owing was my ex-girlfriend, I do not have a criminal record. My ex-girlfriend could not admit that it was over, I owed her P11,000, but the charges went up to P18,000,” he said. Garogwe, who has three albums to his name, said in 2011 he also faced a rape charge. A charge, he said was laid by his ex-girlfriend.

“Just to show you that all my troubles again come from my past relationships, sometime in 2011 just before I released Kea Gana, I was seeing someone. She cheated on me with another musician, and me being a man, I did not want to share a woman. One day, I went up to the musician’s house and I found her there. I took her back to my house and we talked and resolved our situation overnight,” he said.

“The next day she leaves the house around 9am and goes to the police and said I had raped her.  Her musician boyfriend also testified that he witnessed the incident, and this was when I was still staying in Mochudi. I mentioned for the rape case for quite sometime until she dropped the charges,” Garogwe said.

The man, who also sings Moratiwa Nkamogele, also admitted that he needs psychological assistance and is willing to see professionals. He said in his life he has never had people who care for him.

“No one in my life has ever come up to me and asked if I was okay.  I have never enjoyed positive publicity. Nobody ever asks what is going on in my life,” he said.
