“It will encompass music, sermons and indoor games to engage everyone,” he said.
He said they aim to host three more conferences after this one.
“The intention is to change the society through music and make them aware of God’s existence,” he said.
Mmelesane said they have invited churches, individuals and gospel artists to grace the event.
He said their vision, as a group is to help the needy and work with Non-Governmental Organisations to meet the needs of the society.
Mmelesane said the conference would also help musicians take their work seriously. “It is exposure for gospel artists because they are often overlooked,” he said.
Looking back, Mmelesane said he came up with the idea in 2012 because he wanted to reach out to young people through gospel music and the word of God. “My parents and my mentor, Pastor Phofuetsile inspired me.
I also appreciate my management team for being inspirational,” he said.
He said through the conference they aspire to have a television channel that can promote Botswana gospel music.
He said at the moment they are still looking for partners to work with.
The guest speaker at the event is Onkemetse Phofuetsile and the lineup of artists includes Kabelo Eric, Tacheba Christian Rock
Band, Lyon, Prince, David, Wehe, Wiseman Pat, Mmelesane, Juby Peacock and many others.
