The 34-year-old who first burst into the scene with his debut album titled Theohang which saw him rise to be one of the best jazz artist in the country says although an unfair judge in this case, he feels his album has shown maturity in his art and is confident that it will do as good as his last.

The album titled African Sunset features songs such as Dintwa in which he features the legendary Tshepo Tshola, Black Pride, Nkamogele, Gwela, Moratiwa, Mama, Keledi as well as Children of the Universe. Trinity says the album that took him close to four years to complete was inspired by the sophistication of the African continent.

“When I recorded the album I had Africa in my mind, my first album was solely about my past and personal experiences but in this album my main focus was on Africa,” he said.

“Most of the songs speak about issues and the tough situation different African countries are currently facing and or have faced.”

Trinity, who was voted best “world music artist of the year” at last year’s African Entertainment Awards performed at the just ended Hamptons Jazz festival.

Asked how he brands Botswana when performing at the international stage, Trinity says “I always incorporate my culture in my craft.   I think that what makes different from all other artist. I have fun on stage all the time”.

The CD is on sale at P120 at music café.

Trinity will be leaving the country next week where he is expected to dish out his second album in various North American shows.
