Sanctified Delights bakery and café is located opposite Matshekge hills school in the Ndandane ward in Bobonong.
It specialises in baking bread loaves, doughnuts, sugar buns, scones, cakes and muffins along with many other baked food items.“Growing up, I always had a passion for baking and was intrigued by how cakes were made along with the different breads which led me to do my own research trying to learn how to bake. I started trying out different recipes until I realised that I could actually make a living out of my passion, ” said Moreba.
After realising the potential, he then decided to open a bakery in his home village of Bobonong.
In 2018, Local Enterprise Authority (LEA) assisted Moreba to expand the business as he was not meeting the demand due to small equipment. LEA then helped the company with a business plan, trained him in customer service and food manufacturing. LEA was also instrumental in submitting a management plan to Selebi-Phikwe Economic Unit for the company to get a piece of land where they can establish a place of their own as they are currently renting the premises they operate from.
Moreba said the market has been good as the feedback they get from their customers point to the fact that they produce better quality bread than their competitors.
He said they outsmart their competitors with the best quality of raw materials they use in handling and mixing of the bread.
To market his products, he took advantage of the social media including Facebook, as well as word-of-mouth and flyers.
To penetrate the retail market, Moreba intends to send samples with an aim of securing contracts.
He also has plans to own a plot and building and become a well-known brand. He also pointed out that they are currently working on their branding of which they have completed the packaging designs and LEA will be assisting the company with the payments of the printing of the bread bags.
