Charma Gal Disappoints At Orange Letlhafula

The Mosakaso singer is known to keep attendants on their feet throughout her set, but on the night she gave nothing short of a shoddy performance. Charma Gal did not even try to move a muscle whilst on stage.
The Sekuta Sa Ga Charma Gal hit maker was seemingly disinterested in her Orange Letlhafula performance and to add salt to injury, she did not even perform her hit song Hardrock.
One would wonder if this was so because the director of ceremonies, Comfort ‘Big Fish’ Ramatebele kept on announcing that Culture Spears would perform before Charma Gal went on stage.
Her manager and live-in boyfriend, Resego Matenge, popularly known as Leshman kept on interfering with her set, by jumping on stage unnecessarily.
Leshman got a taste of fame during the ‘messy’ and widely publicised divorce between his now live-in lover, Charma Gal and Kabelo Mogwe of Culture Spears.
Other performers on the day included traditional group Mafitlhakgosi and comedian, Olefile ‘Mawee’ Mokgware, who kept the attendants busy.
Patrons were treated to an abundance of traditional dishes. Although the event was sold out, Orange Letlhafula made sure that there was enough food for everyone even to take home.
As the local saying goes, ‘Ga gona mokete oo senang nama’, most plates were filled to the brim with seswaa and other traditional relishes like phane (mophane worm).
But it was the wash down that was most popular.
The traditional brew (mokuru) has over the years been the most trendy and it is usually the one with the longest queue.
Orange Letlhafula is in its 16th year. It is an annual event that celebrates the culture and heritage of Botswana. The cultural event has been able to maintain its popularity over the years.
As it has become the norm, the event was yet again, sold out.
