This follows a case in which BOFEPUSU appealed against an Industrial Court decision that among others prohibited them from being admitted into the Public Service Bargaining Council (PSBC). The two parties were given until yesterday to explore a possible common ground and settle the matter amicably.
Court of Appeal Judge President, Ian Kirby had said if by May 10, 2016 they have failed to settle, the bench will go ahead in preparing its judgment. This was after Kirby had declared as ‘a clash of egos’ the legal battle between BOFEPUSU and BOPEU. Yesterday the parties requested the court to issue a ruling.
The court indicated that since the matter is complex they will call the parties when the ruling is ready. Kirby presided with Justices Isaac Lesetedi and Monametsi Gaongalelwe over the case.
