Born Ted Phaphane, the Bomshakalaka rapper toured secondary schools, including Ledumang, Marang and Marulamantsi interacting with the students counselling them on social ills that may come in their way.
“At their ages they are vulnerable. It is at their ages where one determines as to what they will be tomorrow, whether they would be women and men of substance, and as an artist I thought it would be worthwhile to educate them about social ills they will face,” he said.
Ozi F Teddy’s first scandal was when he had a public spat with former girlfriend and female rapper Sasa Klaas, when he let out his feelings about her then relationship with world athletics champion, Nijel Amos. He also let rip into fellow rapper, Zeus in a public Twitter feud over a song with Zeus.
The rapper had some harsh words for Zeus, allegedly for side lining him on a song they did together.
When commenting about the “cat fight” with Zeus on Twitter , Ozi F Teddy said “ the genre of hip-hop is naturally very competitive. There is never a calm day where rappers are involved.”
He further said “me being one of the most elite rappers in the country, I like to think I am very opinionated. This is hip-hop it comes with the territory”.
Ozi F Teddy says there is no “beef” between him and Zeus and that they just had a heated debate. He will be releasing his debut album, set to be called Lord Summer, sometime this year.
He says that he had released only two singles in a period of two years and that this year he feels is the right time for him to release his maiden album.
“We plan to sell over 10,000 Cds. I will go gold and possibly platinum with this album,” bragged the optimistic Ozi F Teddy.
