This is not the first time the Mafikeng-born, Kefilwe ‘Fifi Cooper’ Mooketsi will perform in Botswana. She has in the past performed at various shows, but not as the main act. She was last seen at the Motswako Invasion 2.0 held at the Stanbic Bank Piazza.
She has earned the title First Lady of Motswako in her short stint at stardom. She was first discovered by Mo’ Molemi and later collaborated on a song with Khuli Chana in 2014. Since then, she has been blossoming over time, getting featured by big artists as well as performing on the international stage. She was also one of the opening acts for the Castle Lite Unlock J Cole event held two weeks ago at the Ticketpro Dome.
Although she has featured in hit singles in South Africa, Fifi Cooper was a while ago involved in a public spat with fellow artists and rapper, Cassper Nyovest.
According to media reports and Cassper Nyovest’s official Twitter page, the two had talks about collaborating on a song. The negotiations, however, turned ugly when the Doc Shebeleza star asked for “a lot of money” from Fifi Cooper.
The pint-sized singer and Mr Fill Up the Dome have up now not released a song together, but at the United Premier Lounge she is expected to perform other hit songs featuring big names including Puntsununu, which featured Kwesta.
Her most downloaded songs are Kisses, Truth or Dare 2.0, Sebokolodi, and Angeke.
The man bringing the first lady of Motswako to Botswana, Goodwin Sebina said, “She comes a long way. She has really improved and it is time she performed here. She has been trending all over with her hit single, Kisses”.
