Four die in road mishap

A Mercedes Benz, which had seven people on board, a mother and her five children and granddaughter was traveling south from the northern side when it collided with a Mercedes Benz truck that was headed north from south.

Dibete police station commander, superintendent Meshack Ranku confirmed the incident stating that investigations on the matter are still ongoing.

“The woman was in company of children aged from one year to 13 years old. Investigations are ongoing to establish what really transpired, but the truck driver is likely to face the law, because his truck’s road worthy document had expired. The truck had two people on board who escaped uninjured,” Ranku said.

He also said two children, and the one-year-old granddaughter are recuperating at Princess Marina Hospital (PMH).
