Busani, who also likes to grow her own hair naturally, said that she knows just how difficult it is to maintain natural coils without using harsh chemicals to soften it and make it easier to manage.  Acting on the desire to have satisfying hair texture she saw it fit to come up with a natural hair product line that caters to every African woman who prefers to grow or rather wear her hair naturally.

“Women used to look to harsh chemicals to straighten their hair, things have now changed as an increasing number of women are now doing away with the chemicals in favour of a more natural approach to hair care,” she said.

Busani indicated that her three-year-old business is based in Pilane and she is the one who manufactures all the hair products with two employees. The LUDO hair product owner told Business Monitor that women are now most likely to wear their hair natural and prefer chemical-free and no-heat styling, which came in handy with the success of her hair product line. Although the natural hair trend has certainly taken off, the female entrepreneur alluded that maintaining natural hair is more complicated than it sounds.

“Many women who decided to embrace natural hair face emotional strife as they deal with hair that needs special care to keep glowing,” she said. Though long hair used to be identified with youthfulness, the natural hair trend seems to have taken the hair world by storm.  In the world of natural hair, texture is of huge importance. Busani indicated that she prefers to use organic products that will not be harmful to the person’s scalp. “Most people have sensitive scalps, that’s why I make hair products using organic products,” she stated.
