Vee Mampeezy's Music Video lords over PDC

“I released Dololo last year and the best part was working with Jack Bohloko. He was able to visualise every single thing that I wanted,” Vee Mampeezy told Arts & Culture in an interview. He added that Jack Bohloko is one of the easiest people to work with and also very much talented. So far Vee Mampeezy has worked with the producer in three videos being Dololo, Dumalana and the recent one called ‘I love you’. Dumalana video recently breached a million views on Youtube becoming the fastest local music video to reach the feat.
According to some observers, Vee Mampeezy’s win at the PDC is not a surprise as he is an artist who likes to invest in his music videos.
His music videos have been aired in international channels such as Channel O, Trace Urban just to name but a few.
He once spent a whooping quarter of a million on his Champion music video. Vee Mampeezy stated that his hustler mentality pushed him to shoot the music video in SA. He is also keen to give his followers the best regardless of how much it will cost him. He further highlighted that on the Dololo track he worked with a whole lot of local talent, the likes of Juju Vine, Penene Ponono and Scavenger only to mention but a few.
Meanwhile, Jack Bohloko this year clinched Best Video Production House for the fourth time in a row. Last year he won the award through Amantle Brown’s Follo video, which also scooped best video. In 2017, he won the same award with Amantle Brown’s then trending black mampatile video.
This year he has won the award with an artist of a different genre being Vee Mampeezy. Dololo video is predominantly dance all the way compared to Follo and black mampatile.
