The event started with a five-kilometre walk, which was as a race with no takers. In other words, everyone was a winner as long as they got to the finish line.
The participants began the race dressed in pristine white T-shirts they were provided with, but arrived at the Gaborone Club finish line covered in all sorts of colours.
At the event, which was attended by both the young and the old, participants coloured in paint were spotted taking pictures, some of which were probably posted on social media. The colours that ruled the Saturday family day-like event were mostly shades of blue, green and yellow. Those covered in paint from head to toe were at first glance not even recognisable. By late evening, the organisers of the event announced that those under 18 should leave the colourful event to make way for the neon party.
South African disc jockey, DJ Euphonic headlined the party. But before Euphonic went on stage, it was the local deejays including DJ Roots, Ricki Lamar and DJ Kuchi, who ruled on the decks.
