The Black Mampatile hitmaker was served with court papers on Friday during her performance at the just-ended Mascom Live Sessions.  An insider told Showbiz that three police officers were seen at Botswanacraft to serve Amantle Brown with the court order to pay an unknown man an amount of P2,000.

The police officers came to the show while the singer was on stage, as the opening act for South African artist Ringo Madlingozi last Friday. It is alleged that Amantle Brown had borrowed the money from the man in January, and has failed to pay back the money since.

The frustrated man then allegedly approached the Extension 2 Magistrate Court for assistance.  Reached for comment Amantle Brown admitted that she owes the man.  She also confirmed that she has been served by the police on Friday.

She said: “I was surprised to hear that police officers came to the show.  I was really stunned. You see this is a very close friend of mine, the person that I owe.  I was surprised that he would go this far, this is someone I have been talking to about the situation and I thought he understood,” Amantle Brown said. The pint-sized musician who rocked the Mascom Live Sessions show at Botswanacraft further said, “I wouldn’t do anything to tarnish my brand.  I have worked so hard.  But my team has contacted the man and the debt will be settled next week Monday”.

Amantle Brown’s debut album Sa Pelo is currently on the market with hit songs like Moratiwa making waves.
