Chiefs other group held another AGM in July PIC: KAGISO ONKATSWITSE

While the other group led by Raymond Tsheko and Clifford Mogomotsi held an AGM two months ago, the other one led by Ramocha Tsieng and Kitso Maswena have since called another meeting scheduled for Saturday.

The meeting is expected to discuss issues ranging from financial report, membership report, matters arising from the minutes of the last special meeting and the chairperson’s report.  The meeting will also update the general membership on the current court case as well as hold election for the new executive committee.

“Remember the Registrar of Societies said there are currently two committees running the club. We are the society so there is nothing sinister about calling for the AGM.

There is a case registered at the High Court which is expected to deal with the issue of these two committees so for now we will continue to run the club as it is,” Tsieng told Mmegi Sport yesterday.

He said the meeting will be graced by important dignitaries as well as elders although he could not divulge who exactly will be present.

Both camps have previously admitted having unresolved issues regarding who should run the club with the Registrar of Socities also aware of the raging war.

The issue emanated from the club’s intentions to transform into a trust as the local game seeks to move into professionalism.

The faction led by Ramocha feels the resolutions agreed at the 2012-2013 meeting have not been implemented.

Amongst the resolutions was that the society be dissolved to allow for the formation of a trust. They feel that since the society had not been dissolved, the club legally should be operating as a society until it is dissolved.

Both camps filed returns at the Registrar of Societies at the start of their wars after which the Registrar advised both camps to sort their own issues.

The two camps up to now have not reached a common ground and now await the matter to be decided by the court.
