Letshwiti will, today at 5pm, address his first media conference since he beat Tebogo Sebego in a close contest during last month’s BFA general assembly.

The businessman is keen to put the house in order after inheriting a debt-ridden association, which is currently P10 million in the red.  Additionally, there are challenges at the Botswana Premier League (BPL) where a forensic audit has commenced after the league exhausted its budget half-way through the season.

Heads are expected to roll with BPL chief executive officer, Bennett Mamelodi increasingly looking likely the first victim.

He is fighting a move to transfer him to the BFA while the forensic audit is ongoing.

BFA CEO, Kitso Kemoeng’s future was rumoured to be on the line soon after Letshwiti took over, but he appears to have settled in with the new administration with no immediate changes expected.

BFA technical advisor, Ben Kgomela’s future is uncertain while there might be further shake-up within the secretariat after the conclusion of a FIFA-funded restructuring exercise.

Letshwiti, who has handed all communication duties to Kemoeng, is reportedly concerned with the amount of rot at both the BFA and BPL. In fact, sources said, he had underestimated the amount of task at hand, but is prepared to move swiftly and wield the axe.

Kemoeng said Letshwiti will share important information with journalists on the “ongoings at BFA”.
