As part of the Botswana golden jubilee celebrations, the TIAF had on display a variety of crafts ranging from photographs, paintings, clay pots, bead works, clothing and wooden crafts by various artists. Upcoming and established craft makers such as Daisy Bailelwang, Chawa Masum, Omogolo Gomosie and Nyane Seiphetlheng showcased their crafts.

This time around the fair, included artists who are not affiliated to Thapong Visual Arts Centre.

Some artists took time to interpret their works to art lovers, some of whom bought the art works.

“This is a proper platform for us artists and craft makers because we get to engage with clients and meet new clients, which is good for business because the market grows as many people get to see our crafts during the fair,” Nyane Seiphetlheng said.

Kate Kwati, a jewellery designer said the fair is an opportunity for them to sell their work.

“People are still passing by buying and more are coming to place orders and buy crafts,” she said.
