Rollers were charged with using a defaulter in Nato and they were deducted points.

This led to the club playing an (in)famous championship play-off match against Chiefs where they won 5-1.

The team was not crowned as champions yet as the new BFA president Maclean Letshwiti said in a press conference last month that they could not be named champions since there was a case before the CAS.

The move led to both Rollers and Chiefs given P500, 000 each prize money instead of the P1 million first prize.

When contacted for comment, Pheto told Mmegi Sport that they withdrew the case after consulting the football leadership last week.

“We were together with BFA in this whole process. As of now they are the ones who will give us direction on the matter now. I think the BFA will be at liberty to give you a better explanation on the matter.

Remember, we did not have a case against the BFA, but we consulted them to give us direction for the benefit of football,” he said.

Meanwhile, Rollers continued their impressive pre-season form as they played two friendly games against Police XI over the weekend.

The team won both games 3-1 and 2-1 respectively.

This was part of the preparations of the next season that is set to start on October 7. The team will face Gilport Lions in the opening fixture.
