The general assembly takes place after annual meetings of the CAF Standing Committees that ended yesterday.

Letshwiti and Kemoeng left the country yesterday.

On the agenda will be the election of two African additional member to the FIFA Council for the transitory period from September 30 to March 2017.

The meeting will also look at proposals for amendments of CAF statutes, regulations governing the application of CAF statutes, rules and procedures of the CAF general assembly.

Letshwiti, elected into office last month after defeating Tebogo Sebego, will meet other stakeholders on the sidelines of the conference to discuss issues pertaining to Botswana football.

Last week, Letshwiti met South African Premier Soccer League chairperson, Irvin Khoza and SAFA president, Danny Jordan “to share matters of mutual concern and benchmark on a variety of areas on football development.”

In Letshwiti and Kemoeng’s absence, BFA senior vice president, Segolame Ramotlhwa acts as president, while technical director, Ben Kgomela fills in for Kemoeng in the interim.
