Youth-driven Business Launches Messaging App

Thata Phole, who is the managing director of Royal Click, says that Mmualebe is a messaging application with a focus on speed and security.
“It is super-fast, simple, secure and free. Mmualebe seamlessly synchronises across all of your devices and can be used on desktops, tablets and phones alike,” he says. According to the 25-year-old MD, with this app, one can send an unlimited amount of messages, photos, videos and files of any type, such as Word documents and PDFs. Also with Mmualebe, he adds, one can create groups of up to 200 members. “We built Mmualebe to make messaging speedy and safe, without the usual caveats,” says Phole.
He further states that Mmualebe is the fastest messaging app on the market, noting that it uses a distributed infrastructure with data centres positioned around the globe to connect users to the closest possible server. The application is accessible from the Google Play store as well as the Royal Click website, he says.
He further notes that they made it their mission to provide the best security among mass messengers and that Mmualebe heavily encrypts all data with time-tested algorithms. Particular about privacy, Phole says the application does not give third parties access to one’s data, noting that there are ‘Secret Chats’ for those interested in maximum privacy. “Secret Chat messages can be programmed to self-destruct automatically from both participating devices. This way you can send all types of disappearing content — messages, photos, videos and even files,” he says.
He adds that Secret Chats use end-to-end encryption to ensure that a message can only be read by its intended recipient. Another feature that sets Mmualebe as a differentiator, according to Phole, is that it seamlessly synchronises across all devices, so one can always securely access their data.
“Your message history is stored for free in the Mmualebe cloud and you will never lose your data again,” he says.
He emphasises that the application is the most reliable messaging system ever made because it was built to deliver messages in the minimum bytes possible, adding that it works even on the weakest mobile connections. Meanwhile, as part of the country’s 50th anniversary celebrations, Royal Click partnered with BOT50, Samsung Botswana, Cresta Lodge and Fine Brands to officially launch Mmualebe, which they regard as the BOT50 mobile applications. Phole says his company will hold a series of campaigns and activations on various platforms and mediums to raise awareness about this application, which he notes, is geared to preserve culture digitally and to get the nation connected and appreciate technological innovation.
“Mobile applications add to Botswana’s efforts towards bridging the digital divide, and using technology as a medium for fast and instant communication and collaboration,” says the young managing director.
He appeals to the local community to support local creativity and innovation, saying that by so doing they could export their technology to the world.
